Chapter Three - Safety Committee

Membership

The CHESS Safety Committee is made up of six permanent staff members, including the safety committee chair, the head of operations, and other safety specialists.  The committee deals with all the hazards within CHESS' experimental areas and develops the safety policy for their lab.  However, because its experimental areas are close to those of LNS, CHESS coordinates its policies with the LNS Safety Committee before putting them into effect.  In addition, user applications that involve bio-hazards or other hazardous materials must be approved by both safety committees before being accepted.

Current Membership:

Dana Richter - Chair
Ken Finkelstein - Vice-Chair
Marian Szebenyi
Dave Jones
Dana Richter
Arthur Woll
