Chapter Eight - Radiation
Safety
Pregnant Workers:
If you are pregnant or suspect that you may be
pregnant, it is important to consult the CHESS Safety Officer about
minimizing your exposure to radiation. Wear a radiation badge
at all times in the lab.
The Cornell Radiation Safety Manual states:
"...it is believed that the period of greatest radiation sensitivity
for a fetus is from weeks 10 to 17..." (text taken loosely from LEPP
