YOU MUST REPORT ANY INJURY, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, TO THE CHESS OPERATOR.
Any type of injury, no matter how minor, could develop complications and workman's compensation insurance may not cover the treatment if the initial injury was never reported.
The CHESS operator will assist in getting help, if needed, and note the injury in the log. Minor injuries can be treated at the Gannett Clinic on campus. Major injuries will be treated at the local hospital, Cayuga Medical Center. Also, if necessary, changes to procedures or equipment will be made to avoid similar injuries.
Emergency health care is your financial responsibility. Bring your insurance card, HMO card or other proof of insurance with you when visiting CHESS.
