Beamline Status

Description:The Structural Materials Beamline is optimized for high-energy monochromatic and white-beam characterization of materials' structure and evolution across length-scales. This beamline is dedicated to answering basic research questions underlying the most urgent materials challenges and promising opportunities facing the US Department of Defense.

Photon Energy Range:

Monochromatic X-rays: 40-80 keV

White beam x-rays: 50>200 keV

Resolution:ΔE/E ≈ 0.25% at 40 keV
Spot Size:Nominal 3.0 mm (h) x 1.5 mm (v) at 40 keV
