Items which have been deemed hazardous by the CHESS Safety Committee require special handling - please contact the CHESS User Office for further instructions.
CHESS will refuse any hazardous shipments which have not been previously approved by the CHESS Safety Committee.
Sometimes, users order hazardous materials from a vendor and have it shipped directly to CHESS (such as chemicals or compressed gases). You must obtain approval from the CHESS Safety Committee prior to ordering materials, and you must notify the Safety Officer and/or the CHESS User Office of what items you are having shipped directly to CHESS.
